The “WHOLE” Truth

We all know that eating healthy helps us in our day to day work. But sometimes we become so busy that we don’t have time to make breakfast so we grab a poptart and a multivitamin. We justify the poptart by telling ourselves, “I’m taking my vitamins, so really I’m getting everything that I need”.

This is a lie.

Vitamins come in different forms; Natural and synthetic.  Synthetic vitamins have been treated with heat, chemicals and solvents to create just the pure vitamin (Which really should be called a drug). Now, this doesn’t sound to bad does it? Here’s the problem. When you take out the other vitamins and minerals that naturally occur, the body has to use its own reserves to make the entire vitamin. This can actually deplete the other vitamins from your body. Studies have found that there are tens of thousands of nutrients in foods other than the common vitamins and and minerals that are found in most vitamins.

In comparison, whole food vitamins are untampered with. This means that they are complete the way nature made them. If we take whole food vitamins we will not deplete our body of it resources.

What to look for in a vitamin.

On the label look for the words “whole food vitamin” or in the ingredients list look for names of foods such as “carrots, spinach, wheat grass and cherries” for example. Whole food supplements contain all the nutrients of the original food. Now, I’m not saying that taking a whole food supplement is as good as eating the food in its unprocessed form, but its the next best thing!

If you need a whole food vitamin we have one that is cold processed (so that the enzymes aren’t destroyed) that will last you 1 1/2 months to three months depending on how many capsels you take a day, all for only  $23.00 a bottle.

Seasonal allergies

Amother brought in her 2 year old daughter that had seasonal allergies last year. The girl had a runny nose and itchy watery eyes. Claritin helped only mildly, and so when her symptoms started again this year she brought her in to see if we could help her. After 2 treatments, the little girl has had no symptoms of allergies over the past two weeks and hasn’t taken any allergy medication.

If you are tired of taking medication for your allergy symptoms, then give us a call!

No more cramping/diarrhea when she drinks milk.

An 82 year old female came in for an allergy treatment for milk. She had grown up on a farm drinking milk, but for the last few years she would get bloated, have cramps and diarrhea when she drank milk. She was buying lactaid, but eventhough that solved her problem, it cost her too much on her fixed income. After one treatment she is now able to drink regular milk without the discomforts.

chiropractic vision improvement

Last Monday I had a middle aged woman come to see me for low back pain. In her examination I found that her neck was also out of place eventhough it was not hurting her. After I adjusted her I told her to pay attension to things like mental concentration, vision, hearing and mood level, since nerves being pinched in her neck could cause problems with these functions. When she returned on Wednesday, she told me that she had been planing on going to her eye doctor because her vision had been blurry, but that since her adjustment on Monday her blurry vision had cleared up. This is a common scenario I see with adjusting patients.

chemical sensitivity

In January 2011, I had a middle age woman come into the clinic that was allergic to most smells. She couldn’t be around anyone wearing perfumes or cologne, she reacted to cleaners, she would  get sick from the smell of tires at Sam’s club, and she would even get nauseouswhen she cooked foods like a roast. The smells would affect her so bad that she would get headaches and even throw up multiple times a week.

She has gone through 6 allergy treatments and on Monday reported that she had been to Sam’s club 2 times after her last treatment and didn’t have any problems, that perfumes and colognes don’t bother her, and that she hasn’t thrown up in the last three weeks.

Chocolate allergy causing migraines

I had a female patient come in right before thanksgiving that would get migraines if she ate chocolate. These migraines could get so bad that she would skip work and have to go into a dark, quiet room to get some relief.  She also told me that eventhough she gets migraines with the chocolate, that if she had a piece of chocolate she would crave more chocolate, and would end up eating half a box before stopping. After just one treatment she reported that she was able to eat chocolate over the thanksgiving weekend without even a hint of a headache, and she didn’t have cravings for more after her first piece and therefore didn’t eat half the box.

Wheat allergy, gluten intolerance.

Two years ago I treated a one and a half year old for a wheat allergy. If he ate one wheat thin cracker he would have diarrhea. The more wheat he had, the worse his diarrhea would get and he could even have blood in his stool. If his parents gave him one piece of bread folded over with peanut butter and jam he would actually throw it up. Since he was treated for his allergy he has been able to eat any amount of wheat without any problems!

Red food dye allergy.

A 9 year old girl came into the clinic who would become itchy over her whole body with in a minute of having red food dye, and then would stop breathing if she didn’t take benedryl. After one treatment she was able to have red dye without any reactions. See her testimonial on the allergy page.

Emotional breakdowns and allergies

An 8 year old girl was brought into the clinic by her mother because every time she ate green apples she would become an emotional wreak over the next couple of days.  I treated her for an allergy to apples and her emotional episodes disappeared. You can watch the video testimonial under the allergy Page of this web site.

Allergies and behavioral problems.

Some behavioral problems are caused by allergies. In December of 2000, when I took the NAET allergy seminar I sat next to an M.D. who was a psychiatrist. I asked him why he was at a natural allergy elimination seminar and he told me that a lot of psychiatric problems were allergy based. At the time I hadn’t heard of this, but the longer I treat allergies the more I see this connection.
